Balenciaga F/W 10/11
Was considering going to the show (and by 'going' I mean 'waiting outside') since I had a feeling it would be held at Hotel Crillon again(and what do you know?), but Balenciaga don't tend to advertise their venues and it was at 10am so I was bothered. Although it's an overused cliché, Nicolas Ghesquière's Balenciaga really is the definition of 'fashion forward', nobody constructs and reworks materials like Nicolas does. What could end up looking like a high school science project gone wrong is instead a totally desirable piece of clothing. Other designers can only wonder why they didn't think of it sooner (and then send their 'inspired' versions down next season's runway). But enough of my fangirling, here is the evidence:
