True Blood Mini Ep 1

Featuring Eric and Pam!!! Definitely worth watching. New skank in town Yvetta makes an appearance. Thank god for True Blood to cheer me up in June, when I will possibly suffer a huge bout of depression from having to leave Paris.

Mad Men Makeup

This video is quite old but I thought it was still worth sharing. I've always loved the looks and makeup on Mad Men so this video was ~relevant to my interests. Not ashamed to say that Mad Men has probably prompted me to buy a few extra lipsticks in my time, Betty always seems to wear the best shades.

Just Couldn't Help Myself

Honestly I'm surprised I had even gone this long (~4 months) without buying makeup online. I can justify this one because it was cheap and I had been wanting to try this product for ages. Eyeko is actually a British cosmetics company but their packaging is this really cute manga style. I ordered the Eyeko 3-in-1 Eye Cream (which is sold out on asos.com) and the Fat Balm in 'Minty' (tinted lip balm). It may be called an eye cream but I'm probably going to use it as a liquid highlighter because it has very fine irridescent particles in it. The various reviews online seem to be positive.

I used my own ambassador code 'E8454' at the checkout to get a free gift, as well as the current promotion code 'FAT BALM' to get a free raspberry Fat Balm thrown in as well. Exciting News

During my April 'Spring Break', I will be off to Barcelona! I've always wanted to go, particularly since watching the film 'The Spanish Apartment' (L'Auberge Espagnole) so needless to say, I'm giddy with excitement. Downside is, I have to overcome a mountain of research essays beforehand. But in the end, it'll be worth it if I get to see the Sagrada Familia up close:

Covet

Yes I pretty much have a hardon for all things Balenciaga but this fragrance really is the perfect balance of masculine and feminine, complex but subtle. I am holding off buying until I've done all my uni assessments; it's the dangling carrot, if you will.

Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte

This place was horrendously beautiful, I just had a stupid grin on my face the whole time. I'm not normally one for outward displays of wealth but I sure wouldn't mind being the mistress of a home like this. A girl can dream...We went on Easter Sunday so the kiddies were partcipating in an Easter egg hunt, I wanted to join in but it was under 6's only. My friend said that she actually preferred this to Versailles; I can't judge, I haven't made my way over to Versailles...yet.

Angels on Ice, Paris

Went to the Angel on Ice show in Paris and it was fantastic! Got to see Brian Joubert skate as well as Evgeni Plushenko who I was a recent convert to. Got a picture with Evgeni after the show but was disappointed not to catch Brian Joubert. I also got a pic with Florent Amodio and Elvis Stojko. Lyon Part 3: La Fourvière

A view from the top. It was a horribly overcast day so the view wasn't as spectacular as it could have been. Apparently we were supposed to have been able to see Mont Blanc but I'm pretty sure it was shielded that day. Still, I got to see the Alps.

The gallo-roman ruins nearby, this was where the city of Lyon was founded and apparently where the youth of the city go to shoot rap music videos if the group I passed was anything to go by.

The actual Cathedral, guarded by a griffin; I love it, a mythical creature guarding a place of worship of other mythical creatures.
