Lust

I'm not usually the biggest fan of Christopher Bailey's work for Burberry but the jackets/coats he did for F/W 10/11 were to die for. They are seriously my idea of the perfect coat; big and heavy with huge collars which give the sensationg being cocooned. It's fueling my current shearling obsession and I'm on the lookout for something similar, with little luck so far. It's a shame that Burberry is so overpriced. Expensive is fine, but overpriced is not. And I will never not want this shearling thing from Balenciaga F/W 2004.

But it looks like we mere mortals have little chance of getting our hands on one since all the models have snapped them up!

Churros in Barcelona

OK I haven't blogged in a while, blame it on uni. But I did skip away to Barcelona and I don't even have any coherent words for how much I loved that city. We went to this cool little cafe bar thing and had 'churros con chocolate', needless to say it was pretty damn heavenly. Will share more photos and stories when I get more time.

True Blood Mini Ep 1

Featuring Eric and Pam!!! Definitely worth watching. New skank in town Yvetta makes an appearance. Thank god for True Blood to cheer me up in June, when I will possibly suffer a huge bout of depression from having to leave Paris.

Mad Men Makeup

This video is quite old but I thought it was still worth sharing. I've always loved the looks and makeup on Mad Men so this video was ~relevant to my interests. Not ashamed to say that Mad Men has probably prompted me to buy a few extra lipsticks in my time, Betty always seems to wear the best shades.

Just Couldn't Help Myself

Honestly I'm surprised I had even gone this long (~4 months) without buying makeup online. I can justify this one because it was cheap and I had been wanting to try this product for ages. Eyeko is actually a British cosmetics company but their packaging is this really cute manga style. I ordered the Eyeko 3-in-1 Eye Cream (which is sold out on asos.com) and the Fat Balm in 'Minty' (tinted lip balm). It may be called an eye cream but I'm probably going to use it as a liquid highlighter because it has very fine irridescent particles in it. The various reviews online seem to be positive.

Exciting News

During my April 'Spring Break', I will be off to Barcelona! I've always wanted to go, particularly since watching the film 'The Spanish Apartment' (L'Auberge Espagnole) so needless to say, I'm giddy with excitement. Downside is, I have to overcome a mountain of research essays beforehand. But in the end, it'll be worth it if I get to see the Sagrada Familia up close:
